He has long been engaged in the research and discipline construction of network security and communication, multilingual intelligent information processing, and multimedia hybrid intelligent processing. He has received 13 awards at the provincial and ministerial levels, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the He Liang He Li Science and Technology Award, the Guanghua Science and Technology Award, and the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Xinjiang. He has presided over 7 projects of National 863 Program, 1 project of 973 Program, 2 key projects of National Fund and more than 40 projects at national and provincial levels; presided over the research and development and application of more than 30 kinds of new systems and new software supporting multilingualism; presided over the formulation of 5 international standards, 22 national standards, 9 compiled books (teaching materials), and published more than 170 theses, of which 14 were appraised to be at the international advanced level and 10 to be the first in China, After appraisal, 14 items have reached the international advanced level, and 10 items have been recognized as the first in China. He has led the establishment of 4 master's degree programs, including doctoral degree program in computer application, postdoctoral mobile station and software engineering, and trained more than 150 doctoral and master's degree students. He has opened up a new field and market of computerized civil information processing in Xinjiang, and developed it into a new level of multi-media, networked, and intelligent, and solved a lot of key theories and core technologies, and cooperated with many enterprises such as Peking Founder, CLP Communications, and KUDA Xunfei. , creating an industry-university-research base integrating R&D, production, operation and service, making outstanding contributions to the cause of China's informatization and intelligence, and generating significant economic and social benefits. In 2011, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, becoming the only academician in the field of electronics and information technology in Xinjiang's ethnic minorities, Xinjiang's universities and colleges.

吾守尔·斯拉木，中国工程院院士、新疆大学教授、博士生导师，享受国 务 院特殊津贴专家、国家级突出贡献中青年专家、全国先进工作者、全国侨界十佳、中文信息学会终身成就奖、新疆十佳科技人物、13届全国 人 大 代表； 现任新疆多语种信息技术重点实验室、国家语委信息技术研究中心主任，数字创意内容创新产业联盟理事长、中国创新设计产业战略联盟副理事长、中国人工智能学会常务理事，中国中文信息学会原副理事长、新疆IT联盟名义主席；1991年在加拿大Alberta大学、1997年在美国Raite State大学各进修一年。 长期从事网络安全及通讯、多语种智能信息处理、多媒体混合智能处理的研究和学科建设。荣获国家科技进步奖3项、何梁何利科技奖、光华科技奖、新疆科技进步特等奖等省部级以上奖励13项。主持承担国家863计划项目7项、973项目1项、国家基金重点项目2项等国家级和省部级项目40多项；主持研发应用30多种支持多语种的新系统新软件；主持制定国际标准5项、国家标准22项、编译著作（教材）9本、发表论文170余篇，经过鉴定获14项达到国际先进水平、10项获国内首创。牵头组建计算机应用博士点、博士后流动站、软件工程等4个硕士点，培养出150多个博士、硕士研究生，开拓了新疆计算机民文信息处理新领域、新市场，使它不断发展成多媒体化、网络化、智能化新水平，解决了许多关键理论及核心技术，与北大方正、中电通信、科大讯飞等多个企业合作，打造出研发、生产、经营、服务一体化的产学研基地，为我国信息化智能化事业做出突出贡献，产生了重大经济和社会效益。 2011年当选为中国工程院院士，成为新疆少数民族、新疆高校、新疆电子信息领域唯一院士。
